1. DANIEL BROWNELL, son of Joshua Brownell, was born March 20, 1756 in Washington, Dutchess Co., NY, and died August 22, 1852 in Benson, Hamilton Co., NY. He married (1) Lydia Follett Hammond. About 1784, he married for a second time, to Hannah Hammond daughter of Samuel Hammond and Hannah Shepherd. He is buried in the Olmstead Cemetery on Main Street, Northville, NY.

Children of Daniel Brownell and Hannah Hammond are:

1. Millicent Brownell, born about 1785; died 1790.

2. John Brownell, was born October 1, 1787, and died December 30, 1870. He married (1) Frances Mariah Jones. He married later to (2) Millison (Millicent) Gilbert on December 10, 1810.

1. Eunice Brownell, born on September 27, 1816, Northampton, Fulton Co., NY. Eunice died April 13, 1868; married Tunis Swart Delamater. Tunis Swart Delamater is buried in Gloversville, Fulton Co., NY.

2. Ira Brownell, born about 1820; He died before July 1897.

3. Lewis Brownell, was born October 17, 1790; died July 18, 1856. Lewis married (1) Sally Winegar; Sally is buried in the Northampton Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Northampton, NY. Lewis married secondly, Sarah Hoyt.

4. Martha Brownell, born June 6, 1793; died January 8, 1886. Martha married Nathan Gilbert.

5. Orra Brownell, born February 10, 1795, Greenbush, Rensselaer Co., NY. He was baptized on November 29, 1830, Baptist Ch. of Northville, Fulton Co., NY. He died March 30, 1885, Fulton Co., NY.

Orra married (1) Nancy Harris, daughter of William Harris and Mary Kirkpatrick. Nancy is buried in the Olmstead Cemetery, Main St. Northville, NY. He married (2), Sarah Bowman in 1872. By 1855 Orra Brownell had a tannery named Orra Brownell & Sons, in Hope Falls.

1. Daniel Brownell, born on July 10, 1820; died July 17, 1907. He married Margaret (Brownell).

2. Sally Brownell, born April 6, 1822; died August 26, 1902. She married Elias Kelsey.

3. William Brownell was born February 20, 1824. He died on December 18, 1842, Hamilton Co., NY.

4. Hannah Brownell was born October 24, 1826. Hannah married John Hallenbeck.

5. Robert Brownell, born May 14, 1828; died January 1, 1913.

6. Orra Brownell, Jr. was born on April 14, 1829. He died on September 25, 1877.

7. John Fay Brownell was born on September 20, 1832; died. July 28, 1910; John Fay married Aurelia Reynolds.

8. Ira Brownell was born on August 7, 1834; died October 15, 1876. Ira married Ellen O. Hutchinson.

9. Martha Brownell was born on September 28, 1836. She died November 29, 1881. Martha married George Washington Cole.
10. Lewis Brownell, born May 16, 1840; Lewis died on May 12, 1909, in Northville, Fulton Co., NY.

11. Frances Adella Brownell was born on April 4, 1842; she died after 1915. Francis married William H. Osborn.

12. William Brownell, born 1847; died 1850.

6. Mary Brownell, born abt. 1797; died June 6, 1861. She married John Harris.

7. Isaac Brownell, born 1798; died before December 1876. He married Jennie Harris.
